I just got the update this morning, and was excited to get back in to the game.
Then I looked at my trophy progress for Nearly There... I needed 5 more collectibles last night, and now that I have gotten the update, it is reset and back at 0/120.
Really?
This is super frustrating.
I am on the PS3, is anybody else having this issue?

yea everybody who updated with the recent patch on ps3 has this issue.
resets in-game challenges aswell.
sucks, i know...

Wow. That's a bit angering.

I don't think it will be possible for them to fix it, which really sucks. I won't get back all of my progress until I start over again at the beginning. Which really bothers me.
Don't get me wrong, I love this game more than any game I have played recently, I think the last game I played this much was Mass Effect 2. But the devs are really ****ing things up, and it's disappointing. A little bit irresponsible of them, so to say.

there is no other way..
delete everything of your console about dead island and start a new game with the patch,
that's what im recommending

ok so i emailed deep silver this what I and they said:
me:
Question_(max__1024_chars): is there any plan to fix the update issue on the

thank you for your inquiry.
apparently the patch resets your trophies but by doing that it makes it
possible to replay trophies which had been lost before.
The patch doesn't delete player stats to our knowledge (but doesn't solve the
autosave bug annoyingly).
We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused and are very sorry if the
patch messed up more than it should have in your case.

then being not satisfied i emailed them again i said:

matter. We believe you if you say it resets your stats but there's nothing we
can do about it from afar.
It's highly unlikely that the next patch will undo these changes.
