Dead Island For Pc/ Don't know how to join multiplayer ): Help

whats up everyone
i just "got" this game yesterday and everythings been working okay besides 2 things.
1. when i press the "Y" key, i can teleport
2. i have NO IDEA how to join multiplayer

Go into a game, and press "ESC" then -> "Game Lobby" and voila ;)
