I thought i was good at this game!

I thought i was at least a decent DI player but as im playing the Ryder campaign im starting to wonder. First i got stuck in the sewers witht the waves of infected, but made it through after a few tries. Now im waiting at the gas station and will probably go broke dying before i get through it. Normally infected wont go through too much hassle trying to reach you (eg climbing, jumping, and being all around bastards) but there is no safe haven in this situation that i have found. I notice there is plenty of things that explode but they are so fast that by the time i can line them up with the tanks and shoot theres only one or 2 back there. I guess im looking for some advice on this. In the rest of the campaign im playing as Logan on my first playthrough. I think im level 36 or so and im on the mission where you collect blood from the natives. What level were you at tht point? i dont play the arena too much, but probably should, i think ive made it to wave 15 on the moderate one. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Well, i made it through the gas station and now im in the prison. I just took a deep breath and took my time, and slowly but surely got through it. My heart is still thumping like bastard. I love this game. I dont think ive ever been so emotionally involved in a game. Maybe MW3 but i just get pissed at the people playing that not the game. ***** ass campers. Id still like to know what level people are as to where they are in the game though

I was the same way. I died a few times on the gas station level until I realized that if I stood off on the little shack to the right of the gas station, they could only come at me by running down the little board plank. They had to climb up the big truck, then to the gas station roof and then run down the little walk way. You can stand there and pick them off one at a time as they make their way until the helicopter arrives.

I kind of did the same thing, stood on the gas station, where they can only come from 3 directions and a few at a time. Did what i could till almost dead then id run down into the station and get an energy drink or 2 (as many as i could till i was swarmed) then i would try my best to trail them behind me and line them all up with a tank i could explode or find a place that they would have to funnel in to attack me (I call that the 300 strategy) I learned that as long as i take care of them a few at a time then i dont get so overwhelmed. Thank you though I have a very hard time not getting overwhelmed and consumed by this game

Damn, you more hardcore than I am. I never had to run down into the store. ****, I would have been too scared. I just climbed that one little shack and stood on the roof. You are untouchable there.

I ran in a big loop around the area up too the roofs across the gas station down and around about three times till the chopper got there easy peazy no deaths or wasted ammo..the infected will follow you all in a long undead conga line
