Kay hey guys! I was planning on finishing dead island single player with sam b. in a very maticulous way (this means level 60, all side quests, all legendary weapons, and all skulls). But this also includes collectibles, and I'm not sure on how to go about doing this. Should I just not touch any and do it all at the end? Or is there a more enjoyable solution. Anyone have any ideas?

That could take awhile, the chances of you finding most of the "rare weapons" legitimately is not very high. I have over 400 hours on my game and I have only found Assasins greed legitimately twice, never a crowd pleaser or defender, and master chef a few times and a couple of the basic legendaries. I would suggest doing something difficult, but deffinitally possible. Like playing with one life. You would lose some game time farming for medkits ofcourse but I enjoyed it. only made it to moresby though. Or you could just beat the game to get skills up and then play with a crap weapon. Sometimes I do up to chapter 10ish with a paddle for fun. Its pretty tough cuz when it needs repair your using hands lol.

Thanks for the quick response. I know the legendary weapons will take a long time, but when I said collectibles, I was referring more to the id cards, Banoi excerpts, and recordings cuz they can be tedious and hard to remember which ones you got. Does anyone have any strategies for these

Look at the map on Dead Island WIKIpedia that shows the locations of all the ID cards and Banoi FACTS. I'm not sure if the recordings are shown, though. If you don't want to do it that way, just take your time, and be nosy as hell. Some of the FACTS will show up when you return to a place for the 2nd time.
