I have a question for everyone.

Now your looking for a melee weapon to take down a attacking zombie. What characteristics or "stats" do you look for?

Swing speed, weight, etc....

What are others to look for?

Well im looking for the weight mostly cuz thats gonna do alot of damage and if i can add nails or w/e on it to do more damage that would be lovely :)

Heavy things do big damage right, but lighter things do less damage but are quite a bit easier to handle?

It's a give and take thing.

I'm gonna get myself a heavy twohanded Sword, run around and shout "I'm a Demoknight" randomly around (TF2 reference)

Other than that I'll be mostly looking for guns.

You got a point easy to handle but it wont be doing the damage that you want you will basicly be smacking them around a couple times why not get the job done faster then giving the other zombies enough time to get closer :P

i look for something in the middle that weighs a good amount but you can still swing it at a pretty good speed

If you were to give stat categories to the weapons, what would they be?

Heavy is important in some instances, but I think the ability to keep my distance from the zed is the most important aspect. If I have a short sledgehammer or something and things get up close and personal, it is all to easy to get some zed blood in my eye or in a cut or something...

I suppose if i had to pick, i would use revolvers. I don't know why but i like slow single bullet guns ^^ with heavy reloads

Do you mean 'slow' as in slower shooting or slower bullets? Because most revolvers are chambered in rounds that run a lot hotter than semi autos...

Well the weapons stats are listed as Damage, Force, Durability, and Handling so i think u would want a pretty good balance between all of those

Ooooo durability. I need that one.

Yeah, I will equate durability to reliability and that would be the most important to me as well...

As in ummm you fire slowly with it, due to the heavy reloading ^^

Ah gotcha. Yes I have always thought revolvers are great zed guns too.

i know what i would take,a solid titanium rod at least 30 cm long so that it can still be used indoors without hitting every wall, with a leather grip so that it wont slip out of my hands when im fighting multiple zombs with a sharpend tip :D that would be the ultimate stabbing/slashing blunt weapon for 1 on 1/ small groups on zombs.... sigh but DI will never have that T^T.... or will they O_O
