You will see a gated area with tables slightly to your right, with a workbench up a ladder inside a building. There is a postcard #11 on the table closest to the workbench. Once you cross over the bridge into the Military Base’s grounds, hang a right up the ally towards the main grounds where the entrance to the inside of the base is. Electrotherapy Mod
Rare (Blue)
Chapter 9: “Firefight”
Quest: “Militarized Zone”

Directions: once in Henderson you must complete “The Ferry” and then accept the quest “City Newcomer” in order to gain access anywhere past the Henderson City Marina. Once you head deeper into the city, find the Cinema and head a little west from the entrance that has shutters and the box office. Walking past the plaza up the stairs into another open area, head a little north west to a patio eating area and look for one of those ladders that you can climb up into a workbench room. Inside the room you’ll not only find “Damien” who gives you a quest you need to get the mod, but you’ll also find the “Death Stalker Mod” in the room. Once you accept his quest that gives the “Electrotherapy Mod” as a reword, He’ll ask you to walk around the city collecting various parts he needs. Do all the objectives until you reach a part in the quest where he needs a coil from the “Military Base”: At this point you will need to progress the story all the way to where you have access to the military base. Once inside the military base, (Not the grounds of the base) make your way into the basement where the breaker room is. Inside the breaker room lying around, you’ll find the coil you need to complete the quest. Once you head back to “Damien” and turn in the coil, he’ll give you the Mod and everything you need to make it once.

High Voltage Mod
Green (Uncommon)
Chapter 6: “Descent”
Quest: “The Tunnels”
Additional Uses: You may also use this mod with “Batons”, “Maces”, “Golf Club” and “Claws”

Prerequisites: You will need to progress the main story all the way up to the point when you take up residence in the Spanish Mission and complete “Pump Action” repelling a Zombie horde to access the tunnels.

Directions: After entering into the old Japanese tunnel system, go turn on the breakers and then climb up the makeshift pipe walkway to the second floor and open the door. Make sure you have your flashlight on, or some flares handy as it is dark. (Pick up any and all flares you come across as you will need them all) Walking into the hall go straight: Crouching in a few areas to pass through, continue until you reach a 4-way intersection. (Including the direction you came from) Go straight down the hall at the 4-way intersection curving around to the right, keeping an eye out for a door on the left side of the hall. (It’s the first door you see on the left, and the only one.) Kill the Thug guarding the door and break it down. Kill the other zombies inside and walk into the back supply room where the shelves are. On one of the shelves in the back corner you’ll find the mod.

Hot Rod Mod
Superior (Purple)
Chapter 4?
Main quest: “Way of Science”
Side quest: “Surplus”
Only useable with: “Machete”, “Tijuana Machete”, and “Bushmaster”

Note: you need to progress the main story along to “Way of Science” to complete “Surplus”. The quest reword for “Surplus” is the “Hot Rod Mod”
Other prerequisites: You must also complete the side quest “Proximity” before you are eligible to start the quest “Surplus”

Directions: In the northern swamp area is a woman named "Myia." She is located in a cave north-west of "Jimmy O'Neal's Cave". The last quest she asks you to go on before she turns into a Merchant and a "Continues event" where you give her blades for xp is called "Surplus." You can only do this quest when you have gone far enough in the main quest line to unlock the research laboratory. The main quest that you must be on is "Way of Science." Once inside the laboratory gate there is a path to the right and to the left. The left path will take you to the quest’s objective as well as the "Tesla Bomb Knife Mod" only you have to do some climbing and jumping to avoid a few minefields between the lab gate and the entrance to the abandoned bunker Myia tells you about. Once inside the bunker there are a few mines hidden inside so make sure to tread lightly. (I blew up a few with my pistol) Using your flashlight, climb the rot-iron ladder in the nook to the top floor of the bunker, there you will find the crate of supplies you are looking for to complete the quest. There is also the “Tesla Bomb Knife Mod” hidden underneath the bed on the left. There is also Recording #6 here on a table.

Lightning Storm Mod (Area of Effect Attack)
Common (White)
Chapter 6: “Descent”
Quest: “The Tunnels”
Also useable with: “Bronze Knuckles”

Prerequisites: You will need to progress the main story all the way up to the point when you take up residence in the Spanish Mission and complete “Pump Action” repelling a Zombie horde to access the tunnels.

Directions: After entering the tunnels and getting power restored to the ”lower levels” and heading down into them you’ll find pretty quickly that there is a huge room, “ Satellite Room” with a six or seven story drop in some areas to the bottom. In the middle of this room is an old huge satellite dish. Navigate down to the bottom of the room, (There’s a ladder that heads almost all the way down to the bottom near the long caged off area) and you’ll find a hallway with a Grenadier blocking your path. Dispatch the Grenadier and walk down the hall till you reach a 4-way intersection. (Including the direction you came from.) If you wish to loot the room on the right of the intersection of its two chests, go a left into the room there and put the fuse you find in the fuse box to restore power to the right side: Otherwise just head straight. Next you’ll hear smugglers talking, climb the ladder and fight your way through the smuggler’s hideout until you reach a big room with a vault door to the left and a huge blinding light creeping in through a crack in the ceiling. In this big room you’ll find Island Guide #10 sitting on top of some boxes. Head straight through the blinding light and fight your way into the “Chief smuggler’s room.” Kill the “Chief Smuggler” so you can access the breaker box to return power to the vault door so you can exit the tunnels system when you’re done here. To the right of the breaker box is a metal locker with the Mod leaning up against it, slightly obscured by a pile of books. Secret Files #5 is to the right of the mod, at the foot of a bed on the ground.

Paralyzing Strike Mod
Common (White)
Chapter 3: "Twisted Mind"
Quest: "Saving Holy Man"

Prerequisites: You must be on Chapter 3: "Twisted Mind" and have progressed the main storyline up to the quest "Saving Holy Man" to access this mod. Save "Marcus" from "Ogre" and then head back to the original quest giver in Halai Village

Directions to Mod form "Halai Village": Open your map and look for the biggest building in the village, it's not hard to find. Head to the building and talk to the guy at the gate, he won’t let you in but asks you to find a beloved priest who went looking for supplies but didn't come back. Take the quest and head to the north eastern tip of the village. There you'll find a shack and enter it. Walk to the double doors and open them, you'll see lots of zombie "Walkers" and some "Infected" as well as a very large "butcher" named "Ogre." Staying on the top walkways taking care not to fall into the pool of zombie death below, dispatch the Infected that come after you. After the Infected are dead it's a cake walk provided you stay above on the platform blasting the walkers and "Ogre" with every ranged weapon you have till all is dead. I used my nail gun, flare gun, stun gun, and grenades of sorts, it was easy. After they are dead hop down and talk to "Marcus" to progress the story. Marcus will give you another quest but you do not need to do it to get the mod: Simply head back to the quest giver for “Saving Holy Man.” You may now enter the safe zone. Walk past the dry-docked boat to the big metal building that’s sort of a garage and inside on the work bench in the corner you’ll find the Mod.

Shock Mod
Common (White)
Chapter 3: "Twisted Mind"
Quest: "Saving Holy Man"
Additional uses: You may also use this mod with “Feral Claws”, “Claws”, “Golf Club”, “Batons”, and “Maces”

Directions: Leaving "Paradise Survival Camp" south east down the main dirt road, grab a SUV and drive past "Kiwi Camping" and keep going till you reach “Hoyahoya Bar”. Take the foot path on the right side of the road right before “Hoyahoya Bar” and that will lead you into the largest town "Halai Village" Navigate through the village all the way to the most south eastern tip. You should be in the bottom right of the map when you reach "Ocean View Bungalows", you can’t miss it, and there is a huge "Dead Zone" banner. Head Down to the end of the dock by hanging a right as you walk past the banner,(west if you’re looking at the map) follow it till you can’t go any further and you'll find a little foyer with shelving and a zombie in front of the building. Kill the Zombie and check the shelf, you'll find the Mod right there.

Note: this village trek is no simple task, danger lurks around every corner with at least 3 different Zombie "Infected" spawners that never stop throwing them at you when you are in range. Make sure to load up on med kits and have your weapons repaired before navigating the village.

Shockwave Mod (Area of Effect Attack)

Chapter: 7 “Two Shores”
Quest: “Terminal Siege”

Prerequisites: You will need to progress the main story all the way up to the point when you break out of the Japanese tunnels, completing the main quest “The Tunnels”, to access this quest.

Directions: After you survive the onslaught from the zombie horde around the Ferry Terminal for the “Terminal Siege” quest, you will be able to board the ferry to Henderson, don’t! Instead of going to Henderson, check out across the lot and you will see that the garage that used to be closed with the message “Don’t Open, dead inside” is now open. Inside the garage you’ll find the mod on a shelf as well as audio recording #7.

Short-Circuit Mod

Chapter 9: “Firefight”
Quest: “Militarized Zone”
Additional uses: You may also use this mod with, “Crowbar”, “Golf Club”, “Batons”, “Cudgel”, “Maces”, and “Morning Stars”

Directions: once in Henderson you must complete “The Ferry” and then accept the quest “City Newcomer” in order to gain access anywhere past the Henderson City Marina. Right before you reach the first flooded block in Henderson take a right into a small storefront. Inside you’ll find a “Keepsake photo” on a counter near a cash register, and the “Short-Circuit Mod” on a shelf above your head to the right of that.

Quest: “Militarized Zone”

The mod is sticking out of a metal bucket next to the work bench.

Posted by: Undead Zen
Venom Mod
Uncommon (Green)
Chapter 2: "There Is A Way..."
Quest: "Pathfinders"

Directions: When on the "Pathfinders" quest, simply follow the quest instructions until you reach the inlet directly due north of the entrance of Marik's Marina in your boat. On your map the entrance to a cave is marked by a golden colored idol type statue. Leaving the boat walk up the dirt road with your eyes peeled to your left for a cave entrance. When you find it fight your way into the cave and you will encounter flaming infected as well as the normal walkers in the main ceremonial chamber that houses the giant Idol. Fight your way to the vary back of the cave and you will find the mod sitting on top of a basket.

P.S. Do not confuse the Golden Idol symbol on your map in Marik's Marina with the one I’m talking about. If you were to trace an imaginary line from the actual gate of Marik's Marina northward as far as the swamp will let you go, there is an inlet with another Golden Idol symbol: This is the one I'm talking about having a mod inside the cave, not “The lonely Cave.” It is also the top right of your map, the most north eastern position you can go in the swamp by boat: in fact there is an extra boat in the inlet.

Along the way you will see a car all loaded up, that matches no other car model in the game, it is in fact “Robert Neville’s” car from “I AM LEDGEND”. This is the Cameo everyone was talking about with, “Will Smith”, as “Robert Neville.” At the end of the dock you’ll find him: Slumped over his chair and table, dead, with his Golf club resting against it. In white paint he has written on the table “death awaits us all.” You’ll find the “Glazed Mod” on the table next to “Robert Neville.”

Heavy Duty Mod
Legendary (Gold)
Chapter 9: “Firefight”
Quest: “Jury Rigging for Henry III”

Prerequisites: You must complete “Jury Rigging for Henry I, and II before being able to accept this quest. In addition, there is no way to get the 3 “Blankets” required to give him for the mod until you reach Henderson.

Directions: once in Henderson you must complete “The Ferry” and then accept the quest “City Newcomer” in order to gain access anywhere past the Henderson City Marina. You then need to hunt down the entrance to Motel “Safe Haven.” If you have already accepted the quest “Safe Haven” from “Maggie” back in chapter 3: “Twisted mind”, it will an easy find: As the quest will highlight the area you need to search on your map, provided you did all the steps up to the point you enter Henderson. If you do not have the side quest “Safe Haven” I would recommend fast traveling back to “Halai Village” and accept it from “Maggie” as I’m not sure you can enter it without having that quest active: Also make sure to advance the quest till it says to go to Henderson. The motel is down in the most south western tip of Henderson on a spit, just a little south east of “Joel Chabalba’s Motel”, in the southern bay area. Once inside the “Safe Haven Motel”, search the shelves of the laundry mat area for a “Blanket”, leave and go back for it to re-spawn until you have 3 of them. In addition, if you have the “Safe Haven” quest, this instance has the last item you need to complete it. Also keep your eyes peeled for a blue couch; it has the “Shocking Sledge Mod” on top of it. Once you have your 3 blankets, head back to where you left “Henry”, and turn in the quest for your “Heavy Duty Mod.”

Other Items of interest inside the motel include: “Water Purification tablets”, and Cyanoacrylate Glue”

P.S. Blankets are also in other “Dead Zones” Including “Ogio Moke’s Laundry”, and “Dr JJ Evans Clinic”.

Quest: "Castaway"
Also useable with “Bronze Knuckles”

Directions: Awaking on the beach of palanai after your ship wrecks you are greeted by a woman named "Harlow." She gives you the quest "Castaway" and tells you to head inland towards "Paradise Survival Camp" and to "Look for the big tree-house" meeting up with the other survivors that are hiding out there. Head off the beach in the direction of your quest. You'll head upward across a wooden ramp followed by crossing an old downed log, and make your way to some stairs further up the side of the cliff. At the top of the stairs take the dirt path: It will split into two paths, one right, the other left. Take the left and walk to an old rickety wooden bridge with a sign pointing across that reads "Paradise" and cross it. At the other side of the bridge climb all four wooden staircases and you'll see another sign that reads "Paradise." Continue along the path until you reach a cave: Enter the cave and hang the first right you come across. Exit the cave going across the raised wooden walkway past the red destructible barrels. As you pass the red barrels keep your eyes peeled to your left as you cross the bridge: On a small wooden table you'll find the Nail'd Mod complete with a baseball bat and everything you need to make the mod.

Keep in mind that if you missed this mod the first time you came into the camp you'll have to climb a ladder, jump, or use an alternate path into the camp as the bridge will be out after you complete the quest "Back to reality."

Only useable with a “Pickaxe”

Prerequisites: You must first complete "Jury-Rigging for Harlow I", "Jury-Rigging for Harlow II”, have arrived in Henderson, and have not cleared out the cinema to get this mod.

Directions: You will only be able to access this quest if you have first completed her first two team quests. She's asking for you to deliver 3 Rolls of Insulating Tape in return for the mod. You won’t find these from just plain old rummaging around the island, it requires that you find “Insulating Tape” which is hidden in "Dead Zones". Once you have cleared out the Block when you first enter Henderson, accept the main quest “City Newcomer”. Once on that quest you’ll be asked to clear out an old cinema: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO INTO THE CINEMA TO CLEAR IT OUT. Once you clear out the old cinema, “Harlow” will no longer have any team quests available, as she is inaccessible at this point in the story until your second play through. Avoid the cinema like the Zombie plague and head deeper into the village until you reach the “Infested Depot”. Clear out the depot and keep your eyes peeled for “Insulating tape”. This dead zone has it and all you need to do is clear it out 3 times, as the tape will re-spawn every time you enter. Once you have the rolls of “Insulating Tape" head back to Henderson Marina and hand it to Harlow: She’ll reword you with the mod, just be sure to pick it up off Harlow when it appears.

You can only enter this area by being in chapter 3: "Twisted Mind" and by saving the priest from "Ogre" on the "Saving Holy Man" quest. Just head back to the guy you got the quest from in the first place and you should find that the doors to the safe zone are now accessible. Walk past the dry-docked boat to the big metal building that's sort of a garage and up to the second level, their you'll find a merchant who deals in consumables for mods (Her name escapes me, but she's the only merchant in the building.) buy all the Steel Rods you need and fast travel back to paradise via the map on the first floor of the building. The one on land has "Alfred" standing on top of it. Save "Alfred" from the zombies that are attacking him and search the camper he's standing on. You are now in “The lower levels” as stated by quest objectives to “Descend into the lower levels.” At the bottom of the ladder you’ll see a “T-intersection” with some glowing goo in a caged area straight ahead. After you leave the house go talk to Marvin and tell him you found evidence of his wife, but no body. When you go back to the “Makeshift Hospital” again, walk up to the very much alive blond haired woman on the bed and kneel beside her. An “investigate” option will appear on her, and by holding down the interaction button, you realize she’s Marvin’s wife from the photo you found at her parents’ house. Go back to Marvin and you will complete another quest I think it was called “Closure” or something like that. And if you completed all the other quests in the hospital you should get an achievement at this point.

You’ll need to Head deeper into the city and find one of the many “Rescue” quests. Find and rescue “Gianna” from the zombies that are attacking her. You’ll find it hidden in a barricaded alleyway right across from Gianna and south-west of “George Serero’s Apartment”.

Quest: "New Beginnings"

Directions: Wayne sells the blueprint in Paradise Survival Camp as soon as you clear out the zombies in helping the survivors. You need 2 alcohol, one rag, and $300 to buy it from him. Finding alcohol is easy, it's all over Paradise Survival Camp, however the rag is a bit tougher to come across early in the game. Either scavenge on your quests and come back to it, or find a "Suisider" Zombie and kill him (they drop rags occasionally)

Only useable with a “Shillelagh”

Directions: once in Henderson you must complete “The Ferry” and then accept the quest “City Newcomer” in order to gain access anywhere past the Henderson City Marina. You’ll need to Head deeper into the city all the way to the bottom of the map. There is a small building west of Fort Henderson that is advertising a Beach Soccer Tournament at the end of a long flooded street. Inside the building you’ll find the mod.

Pistol Ammo Blueprint
Common (White)
Chapter: 7 “Two Shores”
Quest: “The Crossing”

Prerequisites: You will need to progress the main story all the way up to the point when you break out of the Japanese tunnels, completing the main quest “The Tunnels”, to access this quest.

Directions: After you kill the mini boss on the other side of the tunnels walk through the work shed to the other side. When on the road next to the convict bus that is blocking you from going to the north, (the bombed out highway to Henderson) head south: Slipping through the gates into the area with all the zombies, a fire, and several unusable trucks. Once inside the fenced off area look for a red truck and check inside the cab: There lying across the seats you’ll find the “Pistol Ammo Blueprint.”

Poison Bomb Blueprint
Common (White)
Chapter 6: “Descent”
Quest: “The Tunnels”
Type: Bomb

Prerequisites: You will need to progress the main story all the way up to the point when you take up residence in the Spanish Mission and complete “Pump Action” repelling a Zombie horde to access the tunnels.

Directions: After entering the tunnels and getting power restored to the ”lower levels” and heading down into them you’ll find pretty quickly that there is a huge room “ Satellite Room” with a six or seven story drop in some areas to the bottom. In the middle of this room is an old huge satellite dish with an internal command room. Make your way to the dish and descend or ascend a ladder depending on what elevation you are at. (You have many ways to get to the dish.) Once you are a level under where the main dish rests, you’ll find the command room with bars all around it so you can see inside. Walk around the side of the dish, being careful not to fall through the man holes where the ladders come through until you reach a gate. Open the gate and walk into the command center (it looks more like a circular locker room with a work bench.) On the work bench is the mod

Additional points of interest in the Satellite room: Also there is a very large and long caged type area in the huge “Satellite Room.” At the back corner of the caged off place you’ll find a mini-Laboratory that has the roof caving in. In the Laboratory you’ll find the last quest item you need for Kessler’s quest “A history Lesson” which is some case notes called “Research notes on Australian soldier” or something like that. In addition to that, in the caged off area near the front you’ll find that you have to crawl around to get inside and grab “John Morgan’s Diary” #6.

Note: If you want a description of where the other quest items are for “A History Lesson” look up the “Pride Shotgun Mod” in its appropriate mod list as they are close to that mod and I have included a description there on where to get them. Once you have finished and turned in “A History Lesson”, Kessler will become a “continuous event” where he gives “Shock ammo” for Tasers in return for Electronic scrap, as well as xp I think. In addition when turning it in you will unlock the “Serving Science” achievement.

Directions: progress the story-line to the chapter 5 and take the “Pump Action” quest from Trevor Rodgers after you clear out the Spanish Mission and your team members move in and make themselves at home. Trevor will send you off to Marik’s Marina to fetch a pump hidden in a shack, that I assume wasn't accessible until then. Inside the shack besides the mod and the pump, is Morgan’s Diary #3. Use your flash light to find it all. The shack is in the north part of marik’s Marina to the right of “The Lonely Cave”

After you have turned off all the alarms make your way to the main grounds where the entrance to the inside of the base is, and find a red destroyable propane tank. Blow the gate to the base with the propane and enter. As you make your way into the base you will eventually reach a communications room where you can contact “Serpo”. In this room on one of the computer desks is the mod as well as “Secret Files #6”.

You’ll need to Head deeper into the city all the way to the “Makeshift Hospital” as it is inside in the basement near the barker room. "Tesla Bomb Knife Mod"

Chapter 4?
Main Quest: "Way of Science"
Side Quest: "Surplus"
Only useable with, “Knife”, and “Assassin’s Greed”

Directions: In the northern swamp area is a woman named "Miya." She is located in a cave north-west of "Jimmy O'Neal's Cave”. The left path will take you to the "Tesla Bomb Knife Mod" only you have to do some climbing and jumping to avoid a few minefields between the lab gate and the entrance to the abandoned bunker Miya tells you about. Once inside the bunker there are a few mines hidden inside so make sure to tread lightly. (I blew up a few with my pistol) Climb the rot-iron ladder in the nook to the top floor of the bunker and the mod is hidden underneath the bed on the left. There is also Recording #6 here on a table.

From here you will head west (the way the front doors of the cinema are facing) where you will walk up some stairs, this leads you to a small courtyard. You will see a gated area with tables slightly to your right with a workbench up a ladder inside a building. There is a Postcard #11 on the table closest to the workbench. When you go up the ladder you'll meet Damien and the mod is on the box right behind him.

OP , you should edit the first post in the thread to be just a list of mods. Then make the mod name a link to each post that says where to get it. It would take a little while, but would make it a lot easier for people to find what they want.

ImpatientZombieSlayer, Thanks a ton for posting your findings! You are the first person to actually bring something to the table on collaboration of a list of Mods. I really Appreciate that! As to Mr. Crowley's Comment, that sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure how to do that at the moment as I am new to forums, but rest assured I'll figure out how to, and do that if it makes it easier to navigate. As it stands at the moment I've been spending most of my time hunting for the mods and posting them when I can. Love this game! Everyone who reads this thread feel free to take a page out of ImpatientZombieSlayer's book and post the location of a mod you've snagged.

You can also get other mods for doing the team quest of the other characters. I believe there is like 4 or 5 mods you get by doing there team missions. They are just simple give them some items and then click on them again to do another mission until you have done 3 for each character. Just hit select, go to "Team", then click on the name of a person that says "Quest Available". Not sure, but I believe it is Harlow that gives most of the mods, but I did all them and can't say for sure which one.

Seriously man... merge your posts or something... no need to add all the double posts and what nots...

I merged some of your posts... it would be ridiculously long for one post to list all the mods so I left you the first 5 posts in the thread...
Please leave the first one as is and then organize the next 4 by mod type... that would be (Sharp, Blunt, Guns, OTHER) "Other" including ammo and bomb blueprints
This will make it easier for member users and non-member users to be able to find what they are looking for quickly and effectively.

I will sticky this topic for ease of access, please do not make any more double posts with a mod location simply add it to the appropriate area and copy any others that are added to the proper areas... I may help with this from time to time, but you started the thread so I'll leave the majority of that responsibility to you.
The thread being sticky'ed will not need to be bumped you can simply edit the first post to say when the mod lists were last updated.

thank you

Thanks Papa Mud, I'm fairly new to posing on forums as you may have guessed. I appreciated you taking the time to explain what you meant by "Double posting" from now on I'll organize it like you stressed, and thanks for making it a "sticky" topic so I don't have to keep searching all over the forum again to find that this topic has been thrown to the bottom of the list by people whining about how much they hate this game. I love this game, and I loved the last one.

Thanks again,

Zen you are doing an excellent job! TY for your hard work on this

Rifle ammo is in the military base (chap10/11 mission inside travelled area past all those damn mines and blowing the door open with c4)... somewhere after extinguishing the fire in the room past the room that has a door making half of a opening that you can almost crouch through from opposite side...

sorry should be more specific with it but can't remember where it was exactly

Thanks Papa Mud! Again, thank you for the feedback, and for the"Sticky" It made it a lot easier to tackle. I'll be sure to add the rifle ammo as soon as I add more stuff again, we can always refine the details and directions as we go over it again a second time. I'm just now entering Henderson so I'll keep taking notes of where I find stuff. My eyes are blurry now from all the data rearranging so I think I'll call it a night.:)

I am pretty sure Robbie (rrobb911) said Undead Zen can Double Post in this thread for his Mod Location thing. He also stickied it as well, didn't he?

rrob911 did in fact contact me privately about my thread and told me to keep posting. He did say that normally "we frown upon double posting" but told me to keep updating the post anyway. At the time I was, and still am pretty green to forums, I thought "Double Posting" meant that someone else had already started a thread on mod locations, though I must admit I could not find one after many searches in the Riptide forum. So when I had another Moderator tell me that double posting was not really looked kindly on, I finally put together what you guys meant.

With regards to "who" stickie'd the topic, your guess is more informed then mine considering I'm not a Moderator and don't have the sway, responsibilities, or privileges that come with that title. It was not my intention to leave any credit undue to those who deserve it. To quote myself from the beginning of this thread "...Thanks again to our Moderators for making this thread easier to find..." rrob911 was very kind and helpfull, I'm just a bit green as stated before. I'm glad you, and the other moderators are so actively involved in the Dead Island Riptide Forum, as it makes for a better user experience over all, (I would have not spent so much time rearranging it if it were not for the moderators and users that contacted me asking to make it easier to navigate.) and thank you for bringing this up as It did need some clarification.

Thanks mokusha! this will save me time in compiling the list. Feel free to post more mods if you come across them and I will compile it.
While I do appreciate you posting your findings, I can't really do anything with:

"DETOX SHOTGUN - Alex
INFERNO - Alex
SHARK - Alex
PRIDE GUN - Alex
DETOX RIFLE - Alex"

As there are no directions on how to get them, unless "Alex" is an NPC? I still have not made it into Henderson, (Doing this has forced me to slow down my pace in completing the game, as I am taking the time to keep extensive notes on where I find everything) so I'm not sure what "Alex" means. More info would be welcomed, the more details you give the faster I can get it all done:). I can work with the other ones you posted, and will give you credit for that when I post it in the main area as I have done with ImpatientZombieSlayer and MastaFoo69. As I go through Henderson I will also expand upon pr-existing directions on how to get the mod if needed.

Thanks again for taking the time to post your findings, helping the riptide gaming community at large!
I really appreciate it!

I'm off work and headed home to go through the tunnels to Henderson next. I hear there might be Developer Mod drop off locations in there:

Hi all, I just got done thoroughly searching the tunnels and every place in between the Spanish mission to the beginnings of Henderson for mods. I found 10 more mods between the tunnels to the ferry. and will update the list in the next day or two to reflect that, as well as the mods you all have posted as well.

I found 5 mods in the tunnels and 5 in the ferry crossing area and will post them soon. No luck with developer mods in the tunnel though.:(

Sorry, Alex is the name of a mods and ingredients vendor in Henderson. He's found on top of a trailer just south of the military base.

Here are a few more:

SLASH - Sloat Hideout (Dead Zone) in Henderson.

SHOCKING SLEDGE - Safe Haven Motel in Henderson (the end of the Maggie mission).

You may want to run in and grab the insulating tape for Harlowe before clearing the Olde Town Cinema. She becomes unavailable after you finish that mission, but will stay at the Henderson docks and give you the Pick-and-Ohm mod before you complete it.

I didn't know that, but its definitely understandable for this type of thread. However, it looks much cleaner and is more efficient now. Double posting mods should still be okay in this thread, but they should still be updated in the appropriate sections to make it easier for people to find those mods on the front page. Hi all, I found a bunch more mods in Henderson, and am currently compiling descriptions on how to get to them. I will not be uploading them till about 5:30-6:00pm or so as there are a lot of them, including the ones you guys posted. but so far I have good directions for these mods:

"Mid evil Mod"
"High Voltage Mod"
"Pride Shotgun Mod"
"Poison Bomb Mod"
"Lightning Storm Mod"
"Pistol Ammo Blueprint"
"Justice Mod"
"Glazed Mod"
"Heavy Mod"
"Shock-wave Mod"

I will continue to work on this so when I upload them tonight there will be a ton of new mods in their correct sections, it may take awhile to upload them, but by getting it all set up in a word document I can at least cut and past to save time.

Ok, so I just got done updating the Index and all four lists alphabetically. I put up a little over twenty new mods that I, and others have found, and I still have many more too do. I probably wont post anything Saturday regarding mod locations, more likely this Sunday or Monday. While I was having fun over the last few days hunting mods, I still couldn't get that theory out of my head about a possible developer mod drop off location, though I totally missed the alter I know it's down there in those Japanese tunnels, I looked back at what In_Grave said and know where he's talking about, I simply didn't take a bath in that green goo cause I thought I mutate or some junk. http://www.deadislandforums.com/showthread.php/8574-Possible-Developer-Mod-Locations/page2

So as I walked all over Henderson, I could hear rats squeaking in my mind taunting me to go back.

Annoying scripted rat animation: “I’m Baaaaaccckkkk!”

Zen: “Ah…what are you doing here?”

Annoying scripted rat animation: “Wouldn’t you like to know”

Zen: “No not really, I’m done searching for your supposed hidden Developer mod.”

Annoying scripted rat animation: “No you’re not, you need me, admit it. You want to believe that if you follow me I’ll lead you to hidden treasure. Besides you never checked that alter of mine in the old Japanese bunker and tunnels system.”

Zen:” I don’t need to, you’re not real. Besides I spent five or six hours down there looking for it, it isn't there, you’re only in my head!”

Annoying scripted rat animation: “Am I Zen? Am I? You just saw me again in that back ally trash can over there, maybe you should follow me, I could lead you to treasure. give me your power, believe in me.” "Snarf, snarf!"

Zen:” No! I won’t do it! I won’t go back to the tunnels and the endless squeaking from the dark! I won’t lend you any credence or power, you will starve!”

Annoying scripted undead rat animation: “Are you sure?”

Zen:” Sure I’m sure, why is your title longer now?”

Annoying scripted Undead Rat King Animation: “I gain power from people believing in me, besides, we both know you’ll be back to my lair soon, you just didn't look hard enough for my alter. Do you really think my worshipers were lying about seeing my awesome alter of power?”

Zen: No, many people claimed to see it, “Worshipers” is a bit of a stretch though don’t you think? Maybe I’ll just go back and check for it again.

Annoying Scripted Undead Rat King of Kings Animation: Good…Goooooooddd...

But in all seriousness, I think I'll go back and find it just to see what it looks like over the weekend. Happy hunting everyone and keep those posts coming of your mod findings!

Cheers,
Undead Zen

Hi all,
I will be on tonight updating this thread again working on it sometime after 8:00PST. I have 15 more mods for sure including some extras that you have all posted, so somewhere around 20 again to come. The day before yesterday I updated my other Thread on "Dead Zones" and if you looked there you would have seen some locations to a few mods that I have yet to put on this list. I hope to get far tonight in updating the list but do not know how far I will get as I have been very busy this week getting a motorcycle endorsement for my new ride.

As to Codarik's question, if you have not seen them in Henderson,(As I have not seen them yet either) I would guess them to be on the military base, fort, or in the next tunnel system after leaving Henderson to the final area. Perhaps someone else could shed some light on the subject?

If there are indeed 74 mods in the game, I still have a good amount to find after I update the list tonight, so their must still be some in Henderson I have not found.

Good Hunting, and thank you all for your patience and contributions to this list in it's continued growth.

Respectfully,
Undead Zen

Just got done updating the list again, there are now a total of 61 mods on this list complete with detailed instructions on where to get them:) If everyone is correct in there assessments of there being 74 mods in the game,(Not including possible dev mods) than I have another 13 mods to post. I still have 2 or 3 mods that I did not get to tonight, and the rest I will be looking for as I raid the Military base and the fort, next. Thanks again to everyone who gave me feedback and making this thread your, go-to for mods and there locations. The list is almost complete and I hope to have it done coming up on the weekend maybe.

Sartex did you use my complete list on the mods available I previously posted, to another guy that was asking how many we had?

I updated that list to compile all 74 mods Named but with out locations as I saw undead zen compiling this list I stopped and didn't bother to go further with it.

@ Undead Zen great list of direction and how-to get all the mods keep up the good work. I'm currently just help friends finish there platinum trophy and collecting the gold and legendary weapons at there max level.

@ Undead Zen. If your keen to do a run through with me we can also add a video, to each mod as I have a capture card to record them all?

Anyone that preordered the game should have a code for deadisland maps. It clearly shows locations of all blueprints. If you don't have this, send me a friend request and I'll be glad to help you find any you don't have.

Well I just got done updating the index and their perspective lists. There are now a total of 73 on this list! I still am missing 1 mod if Mr. Crowley and others are correct in their tally's. I'm almost certain it is the "Nuts and Bolts Mod" that is missing from this list. If someone has already found it and remembers where they found it, I would be very greatfull if they posted it in detail. I will as well give them credit for it like all the other people that posted locations in detail. After I get the last one on this list I plan on doing one last thing to it before it's turned into a wiki if deep silver so chooses. I will add another line of info to all the mods, some already have it. It's the "Type" line. I wish to convey what type of weapons the mod is usable with when it transcends categories. In other words if a mod is usable by both "Blunt" and "sharp" I wish to state this by the other info at the top of the listing before "Directions". Thank you all for being so helpful in your feedback and contributions. I hope to finish this list very soon, as it is a lot more work than previously anticipated.;)

Also to Bishopwacker, thanks for the invitation. I would encourage you to make those videos if you so desire, as a visual reference is always very helpful. As it stands for me though, I think I'm done making tutorial type stuff when this thread, and my one on "Dead Zones" is complete as it has taken a lot of my time. It was totally worth it in my estimation, however I'm pretty burnt out in giving tutorials at this point. In any case, good luck with your endeavors and I hope you have fun if you so choose to do that. :)

To Sartex: thanks for posting that list that was compiled with names of mods as it helped me figure out I had not found the "Nuts and Bolts Mod". Again, anyone know where it is?

To Heckenschuetzer1: Thanks for your enthusiastic effort in doing a screen capture of the location of the "Death-stalker Mod". Even if you were to just screen capture all the mod locations, it's still a very useful visual in locating mods. And I agree with you, my favorite is definitely "Death-stalker" as it was my favorite in DI as well.

Again to all, thank you, and I hope this has been a useful list, as it has been a fun technical writing exercise for me. ;)

Nuts and Bolts Mod

This link can say it better than I can>> http://www.ign.com/wikis/dead-island-riptide/Nuts_and_Bolts_Mod

Edit: The only thing I can think of adding is that it is a 'white' color mod. I believe it's accessible once you can freely roam the main Island. Meaning that you could probably walk through the water to that location and don't actually need the boat yet. Though a boat makes it easier. :)

Awesome! Thanks JTM! I will be able to finish up this list over the weekend now, as I plan on adding a line of info to each mod that is usable on more than one type of weapon. For example:

Name of mod
Rarity (Color)
Chapter
Quest
Usable by: "Blunt", and "Sharp" weapons

Prerequisites:

Directions"

Again, thanks JTM, you just made my day. I'll give you credit for the mod when I update the list

It's no problem Undead Zen, heck, you're doing all the hard work! Great job by the way and I use your other post about the dead zones as reference when I'm hunting for my 'Blue Mods'. Personally, I think they should sticky that one too or put it in a Wiki. There's a silent majority that really appreciates the work your doing. :)

Hello everyone!

Thank you all for your words of encouragement! It was all that kept me going at times for completing this list: And it is indeed, done at last! 74 Mods on the list with instructions even a blind zombie could follow;)

Again, thank you all for your feedback, and posting, as it helped to make this list what it is. Happy mod hunting, and hopefully at some point Deep silver will put developers mods in the game. If Deep Silver decides to use this as a wiki, it is done and ready for such implantation. I put down everyone's forum username for credit on mods posted in detail, as well as shout-outs to the moderators that contributed to the list, in the "Index" section. Thanks again everyone!

Good now go put the location of them lol joking but who is going to put the locations of them?

The locations are posted at the beginning of the thread.

The first post is an "Index"

posts 2-5 on page 1 are the actual categories "Sharp", "Blunt", "Guns" and "Other". those posts have detailed info on the location, type, instructions to get them, and any other relevant info about the mods. Hope that helps:), I think that is what you were asking anyway, unless you were referring to a visual aid?: It is a purely textual guide on mod locations.

Well done Undead zen, I'll follow your instructions and upload all the video's to each Mod location following your text guide. And I'll link a post here with the video youtube link to assist others in getting them. It will take a week or 2 to get them all on a character I haven't found them on, to get the video's.

Hey Jimbolslice95,

Below is the entry from the first page of this thread for the mod your trying to get. Let me know if this is straight forward enough, I know I did not go into as much detail as I wanted on the different pieces Damien ask's you to collect, but as long as you are on the quest there should be highlighted areas on your map where you need to search for the items. Once you collect everything he needs that's inside the city limits you'll need to go back and talk to him yet again to progress the quest to the point where he will ask you to go into the military base. instructions on that piece are below in the listing i have copied and pasted, hope this helps, if not, elaborate a little more on what part your having a hard time finding and I'll see what I can do.
