You don't have to shut your console off if you just "quit game" it will not save and you have almost no chance of getting corrupted data like when you hard shutdown your system.

A good tip if the glitch ends just dashboard to your XMB and you will be able to start it all over again. I used this method in the first DI and now on DI Riptide to achieve a lot of my weapons once...

The Jugg Gauntlet mod is not in DI Riptide. Neither are the Exotic Brass Knucks, so he must be referring to DI and not Riptide.
