missing weapons

Rule of thumb: Don't create anything including deos or ammo with anything equiped except fists. If you have only fists equiped and you are in an inventory situation where the weapon would have disappeared, instead it will fall to the floor at the workbench. And if you modify items to the point where you fear you may have created what I call a "modded item backlog", go to the warehouse, pick up the free baseball bat in your hand and put a cheap nail or barbed wire mod on it to clear the backlog, go to church, return and repeat until it doesn't disappear. If you notice down in the corner when the weapon you're modding disappears it will give the item "backlogged" created, such as shotgun shells created, or deobomb created.

I guess I was lucky. I only lost an orange hammer I never used and just some crap shock machete. Still annoyed me though

I just noticed my Magic Wand Gabriel's Sledgehammer and Toxic Tijuana Machete just went missing. Actually the Sledge went missing about an hour after I got it (three days ago) and now my Machete just disappeared. (Xbox 360)

I'm really upset. I've blown a lot of money and time getting those weapons and modding them.

I used those weapons a lot. They weren't just modded or upgraded either. I had been using them regularly.

i use chainsaw to duplicate my weapons and store a copie on gin so wen i lose a good item i can get it back need 2 players to duplicate but works also by checpoints by dropping weapons items etc and killing ureself with grenade or deo bomb then before time runs out reload checpoint

You probably dropped them... or... if you had them in your hand while going in the crafting table. They will be dropped on floor..

Btw, this thread is a year old. Please don't bump old threads, they are pointless now. :P I don't mind that much, but I am just saying, I see no point in talking in old threads. It's not like the thread leader is going to respond or anything. :P

You probably accidently dropped them or they fell on the floor when you were crafting items.

Put the barbwire mod on a Green police baton and it disappeared? Don't understand why this happens, at least it wasn't a great weapon to lose.

I am on a second playthrough, and because I was modifying ammo, I just lost my venom strong wakizashi and my shock Zed's Demise. I think I'll quit playing it now, I'm so pissed. I wish I would have known about this bug beforehand...

I lost a level 50 Zed's in the prison work bench, I was putting the deathstalker mod on it and poof! it was gone. Good thing I'm close to the prison stage again and this time it will be a Level 60 Zed's. I'll make sure there's nothing in my hands this time.
