Just Trying to Survive.

"But, Mum! Why can't I go!?"
"Sorry Alex, but it's an over 18 Party. You're only 14!"
"Yeah, I noticed. Well, bye then."
"Don't be like that Alex... We'll be back at about half 1, okay?"
"Fine.."
Alex sighed as his Mother and Father walked out the door of their Apartment. He was bored, and it was only the third day of their two week holiday on Banoi Island. He had a long night ahead of him.

"Yeah, I'll meet you down there in a minute, okay?"
"Sure, just don't be long."
Dawn was on her way to 'The Party' with her friends. She didn't understand why everyone was so excited about it, It was just another party, like they had almost every night. She'd left her bag in the room on purpose, to give her an excuse to avoid the party for a few minutes. She didn't even want to come to the island, but her friends had practically dragged her on the plane, and now here she was. Hell on Earth, in her eyes.

Mike felt sick. He assumed it was because of all the alcohol he'd drunk, but that didn't make it any better. Being at the party didn't help, he needed to get out, to get some air. He muttered a few words to his friends, which were lost in the colossal noise of the music, and the crowd. He practically ran to the nearest bathroom, and barely made it to the sink before he was sick all over the silver taps.

Dawn looked at her watch. She'd been in the room, what, 9, 10 minutes now? Tasha, or Samantha maybe would come up looking for her soon. She better go down. She grabbed her bag and strolled to the door, flung it open, and screamed with surprise. Tasha had come up to get her down, but something was wrong...
"Tasha, are you okay? You look ill, maybe you should sit down..."
"Arrrgghh..." Tasha moaned as she stepped towards Dawn, who was rapidly moving backwards. "Tasha, this isn't funny, okay? Just, stop it!" Dawn yelled, but she was suspicious about the putrid smell, and the bite marks on her arm... Then Tasha lunged, jaws snapping, trying to bite Dawn, who yelped, grabbing a lamp from her bedside table. "Tasha, stop it, or... Or I'll hit you!"
Tasha just groaned, stepping forwards again. Dawn swung, and the lamp connected with Tasha's neck. Her head flew from her shoulders, too soft, it should have been stronger... Almost like she was decomposing... Dawn screamed. She had seen movies like this, lots of them. Zombie movies. "No, God, please God no..."

Alex was TV, dozing off, when someone pounded on the door, hard. He let out a small shriek, and tumbled from the sofa. "I'm coming!" He got up, and made his way to the door. "Who is it..?" Alex asked, which was replied with more banging on the door. He peered out the eyehole, and jumped back, as if he'd been electrocuted. He'd seen a man... A man with one arm. [IOne[/I] arm! He'd seen people who had been born with one arm and stuff, but this was different. It looked like it had been bitten off! He knew it was a mistake, so he crept cautiously towards the door. Why wouldn't he stop banging!? Suddenly, the door gave way, and the mans remaining arm burst through a newly made hole in the door. Alex screamed, and ran to the kitchen, looking for a weapon to defend himself with. There were knives, lots of them! he grabbed as many as he could, tucking them into his belt, and holding two, one in each hand. He heard the door break fully, a sickening crunch. Alex twirled round. The man was there, in all his gruesomeness. Alex threw the knife in his left hand. Damn! He missed. He breathed slowly, and threw the other one, as the man came closer, too close. It hit him in his shoulder, sending him flying to the ground. Alex grabbed one of the larger knives, and yelling, ran towards the man, stabbing wildly. He didn't stop until he heard more in the hallway. He grit his teeth, and stood up, ready.

Nice I really liked it and i agree with caskey97 that this should be a dlc, something like Ryder White dlc. Alex should be a new character. damn this game is so good lots of people on this forum found ways to expand it just like you.

A very nice start, although I was expecting more of a build-up. In my opinion it would be nice to use the Dead Island characters as minor cameos in the story, always gives a nice touch. For example when Dawn goes to the party she sees some Idiot on the stage rapping about Voodo or whatever, or Mike meeting some woman in the bathroom (Xian). Just brief appearances which I think add a nice touch to the story.

Please finish the story soon, can't wait to read it!
