Gore in Dead Island

In the trailer, there was obviously huge chunks of flesh missing in zombies, (awesome btw ) but can you actually inflict massive holes like that? Because in the gamepaly footage i've seen, the zombies are just ragdolls. Can somebody correct me if i'm wrong, cause it would be awesome to take chunks of flesh off zombies .

If you hit them with a weapon You can take hunks of flesh out of them. And if you keep on hitting them with a knife or fire axe they will be a skeleton.

well, you will se some kind of adaption of that tech, it older code from another version of dead island, we just have to wait and see how it works ;-)

Anyway, I was looking at some screenshots, at some of the zombies seems to "miss" parts of the stomach/chest, and i was wondering how random, the zombies will look, and in how many ways they can be damaged !!
it all helps to keep the gameplay fresh !!, not seeing the same zombie over and over again.

I mean they will all look different, A lot of them have shirts on, shirts off. Anything they will all look different.

Yes I would love to know that as well! I'm hoping it's gorier than l4d2, that'd be awesome. I'm not saying that it's going to be bad without the gore, but it adds realism, like if you swing an axe into a zombies chest, theres a swing mark, or like you swing at an arm and it just flies off, you know?

The mechanics add to the realism, such as cutting off limbs and heads. Adding up to a great game so far.

They didnt really commented on this. So far from The videos and screenshots its clear that there is a lot of damage shown in different stages.

Maybe The Full System is only on pc because of System requirement .. We will See
