I saw gameplay and trailers of it months ago and wanted to get it. Then I found Borderlands so I'm gonna replace that with Borderlands 2. I may end up getting it months after its release.
So hey, it's coming out next week and since that's before Borderlands 2 I feel like picking up a copy just for shirts and giggles. More info that's been revealed got me interested, specially the part where it's a whole archipielago to play with. Any of you kids planning to play this also?

If you are reading this, you have 1 new rule to follow. DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT MESS WITH MY DR. PEPPER
I dunno child, I was thinking about it but having never played the first 2 I don't know what to expect from it and since renting is no longer an option I don't think I'm gonna drop $70 on something I know so little about.
Check out the TPG Channel:http://www.youtube.com/user/TPGTeeVee/check it out
I've already pre ordered. The last time I checked though, the release had been delayed until Dec. 4.
And here we are tonight! I got it this morning and holy crap it's great!
How you kids been?![]()
It usually takes me time to complete a game so if I do a little write-up on it, it'll be incredibly subjective. Though my first impression so far, feels more like a GTA game than like Island.
Far Cry 3 is out?
I thought dead island was kinda like gta in a way also. I might wait a bit anyways. I'm still playing a few games at the moment anyways
Okay, past failable stealth missions with quick gamer overs, this game's a really good way to wait for Riptide. The graphics are incredibly stunning as you might already know, and the story while it's shoehorned is well acted and kept interesting by the NPCs. There's tons of things to do between the main game like taking over lookouts for more fast travels and unlocking side-quests, unblocking radio towers to map the area, and hunting & skinning for upgrades. The action's really intense, you can easily get gunned down for walking into a fight unprepared or get ambushed by some predator in the area. The pirates also got dogs snooping around, and things get real when komodo dragons burst out and claw anything they look at. I mentioned similarities with GTA, it's these driving side-quests going through checkpoints on an ATV. They're fun as Hell, specially while you're getting chased by the crummy pirates.
So yeah kids, once you're finished with Borderlands 2 or putting every DI character in level 60 with all the orange weapons, give this game a try!
