Easy way to load up on grenades

Found this out by accident. After completing the quest to kill Afran, instead of boarding the boat, I quit the game. I reloaded back at the dock and was able to go in and out loading up on the grenades each time. I'm thinking it may only have worked because the Afran quest was selected and I still had to report back to Matutero to actually complete it. I'm going to try going back there, and see if it will save my game at the dock, like last time. I wonder if enemies will respawn. I'll update tomorrow morning after trying it. At any rate, if you haven't done the quest,it's something to keep in mind if you like lobbing nades.

UPDATE: I went back with a save that had advanced to the laboratory. When I got to the dock , the game did not initiate a save or checkpoint. I forced a save with the 'digital to analog' thingy, but it only restarted me at Matutero's hut. So, in order to do what I had initially posted, the Afran quest does need to be active and incomplete. It's a one shot deal, but maybe some newbies will get an edge up if they utilize it. I know, Sartex, it's exploiting, but some of us aren't as awesome as you and we'll take a bump.

did you pick up the grenades before the controlpoint?

i guess you should not to make this work?

and one should go with nothing but gun in inventory to pick up as much grenades as possible because you can not go to jen in the meantime.

edit: i think it won't work without the quest because there is no control-point when you are out of it.
the controlpoint must be somewhere after killing afran.

Yes, I had picked up the nades, but they respawned each time I restarted. Like I said, I'm going to try going back there when I get off work in the morning. If it loads a checkpoint, it may work.
