I've been farming the gun store chest for ages looking for a better and better shotgun.
right now my best one is lvl 54 with 764 damage.
Does it get much better than this?

the best ones you get in the prison from this drug-guy.

my best is:

(i made the quest in the prison several times and although purna is the weapon expert, sam b got the best shotgun from the drug guy.)

and my legendary crowd pleaser (a stranger droped it) :

You're best to just keep running around the gun store through the abandoned house section. plus you might get a awsauscesome pistol off the wall 500+ damage. maybe even 5k out the register each time.

So how it seems I might as well leave it out then if a legendary weapon barely does 50 more damage.

also short shotguns are shockingly bad in any situation.

yes, i give you as much as you like, because if you give that crowd pleaser away, it duplicates itself and you still have it.

There are certain, easy access, chests that will always spawn some type of firearm. Your best bet would be to farm these. One is in the marketplace where you pick up the Juggernaut mod(near the warehouse). Another is, on the way to the plane crash, the huge fallen trees that cross overhead of the path, just beside the bunker w/ toxic crap all around, climb the tree and look to your right. and then, of course, one of the chests in the back room of Matutero's hut.

Its a mod that can only be applied to the exotic brass knuckles. It has electric damage.
