Shotgun ammo blueprints not working (Xbox360)

I am trying to make some shotgun ammo and every time I try, I drop all my weapons. When I pick them up, I have not received the ammo I wanted to make, I know I have all the materials and everything usually works, but now it doesn't, Does anyone know why or at least how to fix it?

You're trying to make too much ammo. Each character can only carry a certain amount. If you make more than your character can carry, it will toss your weps. I don't know why it doesn't just tell you that you've reached your limit, but hey, we all know this game is twitchy.
