So Sony revealed the new PS3 system. Which is slimer and lighter. However, I'm not impressed and don't rarely care about this load of $h!t PS3. Nothing major new so we can conclude that Sony did it only to try to compete with the Wii U. I personally would have only bought it if they brought back PS2 compatibility, but perhaps in another universe that happened...

you do realize that sony didn't do this "only to compete with the Wii U" right? Dude it's sony they're gonna release slimmer models regardless, hell look at microsoft, they're have 3 different styles of xbox as well with the OG, elite, and slim. Either way they're still gonna have their next gen console and it's still gonna be announced in like 1-2 years. Look at when the 360 came out a full year before the wii and ps3. It's called a race for a reason.

Like a slimer model was needed and the 360 needed a new model because it was full of bugs and hardware issues.

Like a new Iphone is needed every 3 months? people want smaller so they're gonna keep going smaller as technology get there. Also the 360 is still a bucket of bugs, mine sits on the return box from the last red ring for ventalation

It's okay, I believe the 250gb is priced at $269 for the new slim, I got my ps3 the second the original slim one's price went down to $250. Frankly I am not going to need that much space, my 160gb will probably never be filled, and I already have about 10 full length movies + 3 full downloadable games.

I have an Xbox 360 as well, it sits on my shelf and collects dust, went through 2 returns until I got one that didn't do the RROD...piece of junk compared to the PS3, no BluRay Microsoft? Really?
I hate how this gen (minus Wii, good job Nintendo) abandoned backwards compatability. That was an amazing feature on ps2 and prob one of the reasons it did so well
