How come the devastating home run mod doesnt work the way i want it to?

I used a metal baseball bat,put the devastating home run mod on it,and when i use it,the zombies dont fly back like they should be doing.....do i need a better bat or is something just wrong with it? or am i using the wrong mod. please help me anybody..

And can someone tell me where i can find better weapons,ive beaten the game like five times,and im a level 60,still can only find weapons that do close to 2000 damage or less..... and the pheonix big splitting axe is the best one i had so far..... its not fair,that weapon does more damage than my universal one...and its liek a lvl 53 i think.... i found pretty good weapons when i was around lvl 40's..... now i cant find anymore good weapons,they are either to rare to get,or its the sucky green ones and white ones.

Weapons and damage of them are just luck of the draw. Color of them doesn't matter on how good they are, usually. My level 50 white wakizashis are the best weapons I have, just as good as my Zed's Demise.

As for the devastating home run, I'm not too sure about that. The kind of bat you used shouldn't affect the special hit rate. If you are looking for the bat that electrocutes enemies near 100% of the time, that is the Developer Mod Home Run Bat.

what character are you using? the bat is probably considered a blunt weapon so if you are using xian yeah it will probably only work like 1 out of 15-20 times you swing it. i learned that with the telsa modded gabriels sledge hammer, playing as samb that thing would work every time or every other time, when i play as xian it never works.

also the best legit weapon i found has to be zeds demise sword you find in the prison

Yeah,im kind of poed tho,one of my friends found a weapon that was even better than zeds demise.... and only bc it was modded into the game. and yes im currently at a lvl 60 with Xian,i want to play as purna next,is she a good choice for these type of weapons? the weapon im trying to find next is the morning star,one my friends ended up finding it randomly. and Assasins greed can only bc looted or found in chest randomly.

youre better off using the home run baseball bat you get from the developers mod you find from the skull gathering missions. that thing works almost everytime.

the morning star i actually seem to see alot in the stores. i just bought one the other day for that bluntly shock mod thing

I forgot about the skull gathering one,what chapter is that on?

the skull is on a mountain in the south of the resort. you can get there right from chapter1.

the drop-zone is in the supermarket at a teddy-bear. i guess it is in chapter 7.
but you can get there any time later through the sewers and the city hall.
