HELP! Stuck at the Ope's village respawn point after a game freeze....
Urgently need help here or DI is all over for me! I am at the point in the native village level 14 where Ope takes on a thug while 7 other zoms rush you...a well known black spot which i thought i had cracked by using the "track side quest" method. But I was over at the resort stocking up when the game froze and threw me back to the village spawn point - without much health, decent weapons, bombs or grenades AND NO LIVE SIDE QUESTS TO GET ME OUT. Pretty sure I can't fight my way out of this - unless there's something I don't know - but is there a hack or patch or cheat that can get me out of there? Happy to go back several save points to rescue my game. All observations welcome...thnx comrades/

theres not even any continuing quests you can do? this part sucks alot of us have been there. another option you can do is go to game lobby and join someone that is close to you that way your progress will save. with 2-4 people its actually really easy to do. my techniques is to run ahead of ope and grenade the thug then chuck two more bombs behind the fire to take out the hoard of zombies and the butcher back there, but seeing as youre stuck and get any bombs i would go with the online set up
There's 2 chests at the back of the main hut in the village that gives pretty good weapons, try that or do what abig84 said.

the strategy would varry depending on what char you are using, but in general rage mode would help a lot. like somebody else mentioned stock up on deo-bombs / molotovs or something. charging infected arent too tough when you jump kick them to the face, and let ope just tank that thug while you figure the rest. like i said he is an essential NPC. i dont remember if there is a truck or some elevated cover over there, but that always helps.
*if you are really having trouble, the easiest solution would be to just join somebodys game co-op. tbh the game was made for co-op and some sections solo are a little difficult (but do-able).
Thanks for suggestions everyone. The way i got out of it was to start a new game from Options, choose the same character as the one that got stuck, then use the menu of start points it offers you from all the levels you've completed. I obv went back just to the beginning of level 14, losing a bit of game time but keeping nearly all my gear. I could then leave the jungle and stock up on deo-bombs etc, as suggested. it effectively creates a useable save list for all levels you completed with that character. Sweet! Might be useful for some other poor sucker who gets trapped in the village to know this - or for any reason you want to replay a level. I tried to go co-op with Live as suggested but no-one was playing at all (never mind at this stage). Asari - the game is level 14, my character is level 32!
PS Abig84 I like your idea of running ahead of Ope and bombing the thug...will try that when i eventually go back there. I did try bombing the thug once before but mistimed my throw and blew up Ope too!!

Yea works for me everytime. Even on my level 60 I do that just make sure you have good aim. I usually throw 2 behind the fire cause sometime that butcher or a zombie or 2 will survive the blast
