help!! is this a glitch?

hi, im doing the quest "a ray of hope" ive just turned on all the power switches back on, and im trying to get back up the stairs to get back to marcus, however, when i get to the top of the stairs it bounces me back to the bottom... has anyone else had this problem and how did you get around it ?

I know exactly what you are talking about... It took me a minute or two to get out of there... If you just keep crouch jumping and sprinting eventually you will escape but it is just trial and error... I screwed around with it for like 2 minutes or so and I was finally able to get out of there... Also if you have any weapons that can kill you, use them because if you die you will respawn somewhere else.

If all else fails you can generally just reload last checkpoint and you should spawn somewhere else although you may have to go back and flip the switch again... That happened to me on my second playthrough so apparently it wasn't glitched the first time through, so maybe if you just reload the checkpoint it might unglitch the stairs.

Yea this is a popular one. I've been there also but as the other poster said just mess around with jumping and crouching and you will get up

Yes, this happens frequently to me on this quest. It's also happened when traveling down any stairs to the hotel restrooms or the quest from Omar Torress where you have to retrieve a bungalow key from an undead friend who owes him money. I have been able to get out the staircase during the "A Ray Of Hope" quest but those restroom staircases are inescapable once this glitch occurs.

I just happened to get this quest for the 3rd time now and I can say that it is kinda hit and miss whether or not it happens to you.

1st time through: Nothing
2nd time: 5 minutes to escape from the stupid glitch
3rd time: No problems whatsoever

Anyways hope you made it out by now xD

This happened to me somewhere in the resort the other night. We were walking up stairs, but we were blocked from moving further, so we had to jump over some invisible obstacle to get passed. lol I did this the other day. I don't know if a glitch had happened or not.
