Down The River Quest (Killing Afran) + Easy Money & XP

If you are feeling brave enough you can make a lot of money and earn XP while playing this quest. There are basically three parts to this quest. The first part is entering Afran's village, proceeding through the house to the docks, and finding & killing Afran himself.

To get the money it is extremely simple:

1. Enter the village & kill the enemies.
2. DO NOT break down the door or enter the home that separates you from the docks.
3. Once you have killed the enemies and collected their guns simply leave the village.
4. Find the merchant on the northwest corner road, sell your items, and return.
5. Once you enter the complex the enemies will respawn in their original places and you can do it all over again.

You can stop this at any time from happening by making your way to the last house between the village and the docks and breaking down the door to the other side. .

NOTE: The enemies in the entrance should respawn indefinitely if you DO NOT enter the last house. For me they respawned until I entered it and made my way to the docks. Once I cleared the second area only those enemies respawned once leaving and returning.

To kill Afran easily:

  Spoiler: {option} 

On either side of the final complex where Afran is holed up there are enemies (usually 4) on two upper posts and two exploding barrels. While fighting Afran he will walk from the left side to the right side and back again while simultaneously shooting his weapon. Afran is very heavily armored so taking pot shots at him can take a long time before he dies. Use these barrels to your advantage.

1. Kill the enemies that hide on both left and right walkways. This will free up you room to move around to get a clear shot.
2. Wait for Afran to walk near these barrels.
3. Shoot the barrels and watch Afran burn!!!
4. The barrel on the left side usually gets him without fail but it may not be enough to kill him. If so throw a grenade to his left side and he will run away towards the right side. Use the second barrel to finish him off.

Yeah, there are easier ways to level up and earn money. I'll see what the rewards are like and decide whether or not it's worth the trouble. Can't complain too much as Punks and Jungle Muggers etc only tend to need one round to the head to take them down, in my experience anyway.

except the last group of afran's men in the stronghold at the end, but a few grenades take em out quickly, and afran has armor and a great deal of hp

Yeah you do get a lot of xp for killing punks, I notice you get more xp if you kill them with melee weapons. But as far as taking their guns and traveling all the way up the map to sell for money, it's not worth it. When I need cash I just dupe one of my guns that's worth like $12,000 about a dozen times and sell it to get some quick cash.

Just shoot him. Takes me like 1 second to. :P Probably because I got beast weapons dealing 5k damage or more. XD

agreed. Just as easy is using a molotov. I killed him on accident yesterday

Mm, fair enough but I'm not using any dupes or glitched weapons etc. I've played the game 100% legit so far.
