gaining Xp

yes I have the breaking bines skill max level and I recently got one of the critical hit chance with modified blunt weapons skill upgraded and I think I'm getting more xp since that I just didnt know that skill comes with that...

You'll find as you level up the amount of experience you receive for killing zombies and special infected increases a lot and that includes breaks too (especially if you have the breaking bones skill) I'm currently lvl 42 and Thugs are a pain to take down. Thankfully all my weapons are modded with electricity and my Metal Kanabo has x5 shock so it only takes a couple of crits to down them but the amount of exp and cash I get from Thugs, Floaters and Rams in borderline ridiculous. I'm looking at $2000-5000 and easily a couple of thousand experience. That's why I always try to take down as many special infected as possible.

I only need a tiny bit to get to level 50 and since I realised how much I can get from thugs I take every chance to kill one... other specials don't give too much but like I said I can easily get 10000 xp from killing a thug...

Yep its a big boost to leveling up, trust me!

Bare in mind I'm still 7 levels below you so I'll soon be wracking up scores like that from Thugs, especially with my ridiculous weapons. I'm seriously looking forward to getting some useful legendaries though. Remember to buy the DLC so your level cap increases to 60. =)

With Thugs just break there arms and watch them attemp to take a bite out of you,... or what you could do (and this is my favourite) use a Home Run bat (dev) to send them flying.

Even more fun with purnas glory hound work. +150% xp on kills and assists, just ridiculous.
