Ok so yes i am doing this for the legendary weapon contest, but i have a lot of good tips to help you survive, level up, get xp and all around become a better dead island player. First off before you go into the arena Make sure u have the following things
30 medkits (large if possible)
Lots of grenades ( i found these help in the later rounds especially against thugs)
Your most durable and powerfull weapons ( I wouldnt take legendaries or rares because of some random chance of losing it, i lost a bushmaster :( )
Friends ( the more the easier and better chance at being revived and being able to kill all the zombies)
Now some in game strategies:
To level up, obviously do challenges and try to kill the most zombies in your party and go after the tougher zombies and try harder arenas
To get easy money (who doesnt) simply use fists for as long as possible and THROW weapons at zombies to not decrease weapons durability (logan comes in handy for a lot of these things)
To survive longer in general, use ammo only wen it is dropped from a zombie, if you find yourself seeing a group of thugs, throw one grenade and see what that does or try to lure them to fall of a cliff/staircase ect, or simply pick them out one by one by moving them in circles or around the arena. Kill zombies only when necessary in high rounds DO NOT run at the zombies you will get cornered and die, instead let them come to you and plan out how you will take them out (rage, grenade, weapon, gun, suicider ect)
Watch what level the zombies are! If they are level 30 and on the rise swith to your better weapons and dont worry too much on durability, the zombies that you kill will more than likely drop a wad of cash to fullfill your repairing needs.
